Hey! Sounds really cool tbh, the sound design is leet. Sth I would suggest is that sometimes (if not everytime) you put kicks every beat (so just add a kick behind the claps), it would be a nice housey variation

MIYAAH responds:

heey! thanks, my friend!
that it is a good suggestion! perhaps i will try it someday.
my original idea was to sing in a vocoder just like herbie, you know?

i got my mic fixed up and may try to come up with something with the vocoder to really put into a song structure, and perhaps try to tweak the beat and try your variation.

The idea of the track is really not that bad, some nice parts are going on but... The arpeggios at the beginning sound too random, same for some notes around 1:00. It's really disturbing that a lot of notes are not in key.
I enjoyed the variations in the bass rhythm but since the sound is pretty repetitive, I would have enjoyed a lead at some point, or some sound effects samples added here and there

Immitis responds:

Thanks for the detailed review! The lead parts of the song were actually completely random so that's why the notes are out of key; was just experimenting and I didn't get my hopes up for the contest so this is what I submitted. I'll try not to go for that approach in the future. Leads are definitely my weak side at the moment but I'll do my best in my next songs.

Whooo I was surprised by the drop, but sounds great man! (maybe you could have announced it by teasing the complex bass during the build-up because it makes a pretty rough transition, same with the end of the drop: it ends too straightly). The drums you used are good for the more liquid-y dnb part fit well but I think they are too short for the drop and I would have enjoyed a change in the drum samples

Radius responds:

thx, btw. it's drumpstep not liquid dnb

Very good track, very epic, I love it! The sounds you used sometimes sound cheap (like the choir or the violins) but eh - you don't have to buy expansive stuff if that's not where you want to go, since this sounds still good overall. I'd just say that sometimes there's a bit too much going on, and the distorded guitar kinda blurs out interesting parts of the song like the plucky melody starting at 3:34 . But still great track! (btw I love the melody starting at 4:11 :O )

Aterr responds:

Thank you for the feedback and I am glad you enjoyed it generally :3

I am using only free vst's and I'm kinda noob in mixing, so you are right, it could sound much better without some blurry part etc.
But little by little I'm moving forward, and mixing part is quite difficult for me. You know all those eq's and stuff :)
But anyway, I am doing the best I can

That's an ok first song. Few things: some of the notes the plucky sound are out of chord, switching from major to minor so it's a bit weird. Out of that, you should really look into mixing and mastering (there are a lot of good tutorials on youtube - just mentioning the channels In TheMix or You Suck At Producing). And then use more instruments, and please, I hear thatt boo-bass, but it's not that dancey. Just dig a bit more in other instruments and you'll be able to do crazy tracks. Still, there are a lot of good ideas in there! (TL;DR)

N3tW0rkMusic responds:

Ok, thankyou for your advice

Looks like you're scouted now :D The song is pretty good, I'd just say it's a bit too compresed or saturated, which make it sound heavy...

XenoXenon responds:

Um i check GD im still not scouted ;-;

You made me laugh so hard, so here's a good rating for you :P (and yeah, y'all should definitely play Minecraft)

TheNGVirus responds:

Thank you very much <3

Wow, can't wait for the whole thing! (just some personnal advice: make the chords in the drop louder, with more voices and a tad more detuned :P )

Sledgeh-ogg responds:

I finished it now(actually has been finished for what, half a year?), am gonna upload it later today maybe. Anyways, dunno what of the two chords you are talking about, there are the massive ones in the intro which are sampled from the apple startup sound (hence the song name TrApple), those i wouldn't be able to add more voices to, since they're sampled. The other stuttering chords i have done something to make louder and more stereo-ish or what you say, sadly not detuned, since i don't think there is a detune switch in sytrus however i might be wrong since i could dedicate my whole life to understanding sytrus, but i still wouldn't fully.

The intro sounds like a Disney movie theme <3 though I'm not a big a fan of the mono-note bass. I feel like you could have been a little more creative on the bass line :D

aasquared responds:

sure! however, i tried adding all different kinds of basslines - only that worked out.
well, i guess i didnt worked enough on that one!
appreciate it!

Maybe a bit repetitive but I enjoyed this traphouse beat :) sounds like the genre called chill(out) btw :D

DarkHorseOrchestra responds:

Cant lie, did this in about 10ish mins. More like a lot repetitive lol, Im glad you enjoyed it tho! Thanks. Also I know nothing about genres so thanks for the info

I'm a game developper and music composer. I hope you enjoy playing my stuff :3
